Bacon Ball // Fundraising Event // Art, Dancing, Fun, Music, All around quirkyness
As a part of my wonderful internship at LVAA I was able to develop the overall branding and communication materials for Bacon Ball. The ball’s theme asked for creativity and imagination with a taste of quirkyness. With so many featured events–a bacon tasting cook-off, dancing, an oversized paper-mache pig statue, and a Fine Swine art exhibition– I had to create a design which would be fun and eye-catching, allowing for all activities to be represented.
I was inspired by old west-style themed handbills and vintage concert posters, and of course all that was swine:) Pink and golden brown was the color palette chosen to represent the energy of the event.
Bringing in over 1,500 people to the Louisville Visual Art Association and raising funds to benefit the Art Supply Fund for Jefferson Co. Public School art students, as well as LVAA’s Artebella Daily, Children’s Fine Art Classes (CFAC) and OPEN DOORS programs, the Bacon Ball, by far, has been one of my favorite projects.
